One donation. Up to three lives saved. That is what your blood can do.

Why Donate

In Nigeria, the need for blood is constant and the voluntary supply has never been enough. Patients with sickle cell disease, accident survivors, mothers during complicated deliveries, and surgical patients all depend on donors like you.

Voluntary, non-remunerated donation is the safest, most sustainable source of blood. When you give freely, without payment, you give blood that is safer for the patient and more reliable for the system.

Every regular voluntary donor is a foundation stone of a healthcare system that works.

Common Myths Addressed

"Donating blood will make me weak."

Your body replaces donated blood within a few weeks. Most donors feel completely fine within hours.

"It's painful."

The process involves a brief pinch. Most donors describe it as far less uncomfortable than they expected.

"I don't have the right blood type."

Every blood type is needed. Your blood type

is never a reason not to donate.

"I might catch something."

All equipment used in blood donation is sterile and single-use. You cannot contract any infection from donating blood.
